Opening September 2025
In the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains,
just north of Boone North Carolina, lies Mill Camp Wines & Ciders. Inspired by the region's heritage, and by the beauty and simplicity of this friendly mountain community, our family planted a vineyard and orchard, and began crafting wines and ciders that capture the spirit of the Appalachians. All three of us (Christopher, Mark and Karen) left our business careers behind for the beauty, peace and friendly atmosphere of this region and for a way to connect with creation and a healthier lifestyle. Now we want to share the same with you.
Who knows? You may become a neighbor after you visit...
Mill Camp Farm sits on the site of the old Buffalo Trail which wound through this area years ago. This trail provided a pathway for native Americans (Cherokee) to hunt and follow the bison that used to make their way through the Appalachian mountains all the way to the eastern seaboard in the fall, and then back west again in the spring.
Later, this same trail was used by trappers to hunt and share camps on their hunting expeditions. The creek along Mill Camp was the site of an old mill later later destroyed i n the flood of 1940.
Mill Camp is 15-20 minutes north of downtown Boone and along the route to many outdoor recreation areas, the New River, fly fishing, tubing and kayaking rental and outfitters.
We value this land and are committed to being stewards of this small piece of creation, preserving its natural beauty and health for generations to come.
We look forward to having you join us at our picturesque winery and tasting room for a personal and memorable tasting experience. Discover unique flavors that surpass mass-produced options and experience the beauty of the Appalachian mountains with every sip.

Nestled on steep southern-facing slopes, our vineyard and orchard thrive in Clifton loam with a granite base, producing grapes that reflect the mountainous landscape and apples that produce a diverse range of flavors. Enjoy crisp and refreshing to rich and complex.
In addition to the orchard and vineyards, we harvest maple sap for syrup, birch bark for birch "beer", hay, eggs, and honey from our bees.
We look forward to having you join us at our picturesque winery (to be completed in September 2025) for a memorable tasting experience. Sit and relax by the stone fireplace indoors or enjoy the outdoor seating overlooking pastures and mountains. Ask for a guided tour, and a chance to meet our passionate team dedicated to bringing you the best in wines and ciders.
At Mill Camp, we envision a friendly community meeting spot fostering genuine connections and embracing the beauty of all God has created.
